Tal como o nome indica, é apenas a versão para o WordPress do jQuery Lightbox Plugin escrito por balupton, funcionando na perfeição com o WordPress 2.2 ou versão superior, e totalmente compatível com o K2! 
Instrucções
Basta fazer o download do plugin, descompactar os ficheiros para a pasta wp-content\plugins e activar o plugin nas opções do WordPress.
Depois, sempre que queira utilizar o efeito Lightbox, basta colocar um link para a imagem, e colocar o atributo rel=”lightbox” na mesma para que o efeito seja activado ao clicar no link. Pode também utilizar rel=”lightbox-album” substituindo album por uma qualquer palavra para agrupar algumas imagens num álbum.

I’m not sure if Balupton (the original jQuery Lightbox code) implemented such a feature, but I’ll check it with him!

A legenda é feita automaticamente dos elementos “title” nos links… vê no exemplo em cima onde diz “title” é esse o texto da legenda!

Estou usando nextgen gallery e as 2 opções do plugin “descrição” e “texto alternativo alt e title” estão preenchidas em todas as fotos da galeria,mas nada aparece
Apenas “untitle”.
Como mostrar legenda?

Não é o “alt” e “title” das imagens (os elementos “img”), mas antes dos links (os elementos “a”)…

Para já parabéns pelo plugin. A minha questão é saber onde é que posso alterar alguns settings, como a opacidade do background, os botões, etc, etc. Penso que algumas coisas é no CSS, mas outras não!

Tudo pode ser alterado mediante CSS, especialmente se utilizares as classes de CSS associadas aos elementos!
Por outro lado, podes editar o plugin e modificar os parâmetros de inicialização para utilizar classes de CSS específicas!
Está a acontecer uma coisa estranha, quando adiciono rel=”lightbox” á imagem, chama a função duas vezes, que resulta na imagem em modal 1 sobre a outra! Agradecia uma ajudinha aqui!

Quando clico na imagem, nao aparece o tamanho real aparece menor do que ja esta, como resolver ?
A única razão que vejo para isso acontecer será de que a própria imagem é pequena… verifica se o link não está a apontar para o thumbnail da imagem que pretendes!
E se eu não quiser link embaixo da foto?
Bem, tendo em conta que o plugin em si não tem quadro de opções, terás de editar o ficheiro .js para poder modificar o seu funcionamento de base!

primeiramente gostaria de parabenizar a iniciativa de um projeto tão belo quanto o jquery! Estou utilizando a última versão e até agora está funcionando bem, no entanto, não sei como deixar a tela limpa, sem os créditos do balupton. Ex: jQuery Lightbox Plugin (balupton edition) – eles aparecem em todas as minhas imagens.
Você poderia me informar onde eu posso alterar essa configuração?

The file “jquery.lightbox.min.js” has been “text wrapped” and/or reencoded…
So please try reinstalling the plugin and check it again!

Olá Pedro. Estou usando o lightbox em site mas nao estou conseguindo colocar link abaixo da imagem junto com a legenda. Como isso é possível?
Saberia me dizer também como faço para ter thumbnails junto com o lightbox, que estes aparecessem de lado numa vertical?

Would it be possible to allow the plugin to use the jQuery-library 1.3.2 that comes with WordPress 2.8?
Your plugin unregisters WordPress’ pre-installed jQuery 1.3.2 and enqueues its own. Sometimes this causes problems with other WordPress-plugins that use jQuery in any form. For example, it was not possible for me to run your plugin togeter with the Feed reading blogroll on a WP 2.8 blog using the K2-theme.

Sort of having a problem. In spite of using rel=lightbox, it still will not display it using Lightbox.
To what element are you appliying the “rel” attribute? The “a” or the “img” ?
Caro amigo Pedro, em primeiro lugar, parabéns pelo POST, me ajudou bastante… mas estou enfrentando um problema, que pra ti talvez seja simples… o site que estou trabalhando: http://www.sofistique.com.br quando eu ativo e trabalho com o lightbox, ele joga todo o site para a esquerda, que na realidade ele é centralizado. É a segunda vez que encontro este problema… em outro site acabei desativando… Poderias me ajudar nisso amigo? fico muito agradecido… Abraços… Neri Ribeiro
Caro amigo, por certo isso trata-se de incompatibilidades com a folha de estilos CSS que tem no tema que está a utilizar! Terá assim que rever o ficheiro CSS para saber o que está a entrar em conflito…

a couple of questions. my next “n” and previous “p” buttons aren’t working. i see where the JS is in the file and it looks right to me. the “c” for close works fine so not sure what could be the issue. also, i’d like to actually switch it so that the forward arrow and back arrow keys are how that is navigated (instead of n and p). also, at the bottom where it says “Image X of Y” mine is saying “Image NaN of 15″. the “15″ is correct, but not sure where NaN is coming from. one last thing….occassionally the box doesn’t position correctly on the screen. it ends up dropping below the screen just a little. when i go to the next picture or reload, it is always fine. LOVE the plugin, though. thanks for any help.
all apologies….disregard all of my questions. i erased and re-installed and it is working fine. i have no idea what had happened, but this fixed the issue. sorry for troubling you.

Hi, Great plugin, thanx. I have a problem though. The images are not placed in the middle of the white box, they’re like 10px down from top and left. I checked for the reason, can’t find a way to fix it. Using Firefox, also cforms II plugin. Something must be conflicting, dunno what. Would you spare 1 minute to have a look?

But I can tell you that cforms may conflict with this plugin, I think it’s got something to do with some jquery code of cforms… but I’d also check the stylesheet for some type of problem, though!

I’m thrilled with the jquery plugin but I’m having issues between it and IE7. My site looks fine in all browsers, including IE8 (I quit designing for IE6), but only in IE7 does it corrupt. When viewed in IE7, the footer of my site is pushed to the top of the content area. When I deactivate Jquery plugin, the footer returns to normal in IE7.
Is there a work around for this because I really hate to not use this plugin-it rocks!

I think I found the solution, but unfortunately, not sure how to fix it in wordpress. I forgot to mention in my earlier comment that not only did the footer corrupt, but images would open but not close. Apparently sometimes IE7 fails to load javascript if a webpage contains “<script type.." tag .
anyway to remedy this??
Greetings, I don’t think it has anything to do with the “script” tags, but running your page thru the HTML Validator (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgraphicdesignonadime.com) it shows me 3 errors… try to fix them, maybe that will be enought!
